"I have been in Iowa before but always behind the camera. After sitting morning and night for 7 straight days dealing with the warm temps and the rain, I wasn't sure how this hunt would turn out. I saw bucks everyday but nothing big enough. Little did I know that my hunt was about to end on day 8. About 9 a.m. I noticed a huge 11 point buck dogging a doe. After watching and wondering if I was going to get a shot, the opportunity presented itself. About 35 yds out there he was following the doe, I stopped him and released my arrow! About 3 hours later I went back and tracked him about 75 yds by myself. There he was, the buck of a lifetime! He had 11 points with a 20" spread and scored just under 165. My largest whitetail ever! I love a happy ending to a successful hunt."
